Herbed Butter Log
Ingredients
- ½ lb butter or Earth Balance Buttery Spread , softened
- ¼ C packed fresh thyme leaves
- 1/8 C minced fresh tarragon leaves
- ½ t sea salt
- ½ t black pepper
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix well.
- Set mixing bowl in refrigerator until the butter has hardened some, but not completely. On a sheet of waxed paper, spoon butter into a line. Roll the wax paper up around the butter until the butter is in the shape of a log. Fasten the edges of the waxed paper and freeze the log of butter.
- When you next want to use the butter, either take the whole log out of the freezer to soften, or slice off a few rounds from the side of the log and return log to the freezer.
