Almond Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 C butter
- 1 C sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 t almond extract
- 3 C gold-n-white flour
- whole raw almonds
Instructions
- Cream together the butter, sugar, egg, and almond extract. Stir flour into creamed mixture 1 C at a time.
- By hand, make small dough balls the size of whole walnuts. Place balls on greased cookie sheet and flatten slightly by hand or using the bottom of a cup or glass, lightly floured. Press a whole raw almond into the center of each cookie (takes about 36 almonds).
- Bake 10 minutes at 350°F degrees. Remove from cookie sheet and cool on a wire rack. These cookies store well.
